Akuma no Chi Katana

(3 customer reviews)

Product Description

The blade of the Akuma no Chi Katana (Demon’s Blood) has been coated, producing a beautiful rustic-bloody-red-orange sheen on the blade which looks like it has been through someone already ^_^ Kidding aside, the coating makes the blade almost rust and corrosion proof! Making this an almost maintenance-free blade. But, you still need to put oil on the blade to maximize rust and corrosion resistance. Also oiling it will make the blade look more beautiful.

This is the 16th sword I’ve bought from Geisha’s Blade. But it’s “the one” I value most because of it’s blood-tinged blade and All-Red motif of tsuka ito (handle wrapping) and saya (sheath). It’s my only katana so far with a black samegawa (real Manta Ray skin panels) that configures to your grip every time your hands perspire while holding it tightly. And I love the tsuba with a demon holding the blood-tinged blade base. That’s why I don’t display it and instead keep it in a leather Sword Carrying Bag that is around the shoulder of my Kendo Bogu worn by a mannequin. I’m still waiting for a pre-ordered Forged Nagamushi (Snake) Katana T10 Pro because it takes a few months of forging before it can be available. That one is also All-Red like the Akuma No Chi Katana. But all its fittings are snake (tsuba, fuchi, kashira) which is my animal sign. And I already bought an extra leather Sword Carrying Bag exclusively for it when it arrives. But this one I will hang around the shoulder of my Yoroi (Japanese Armor). AND ALL OF THESE I GOT FROM Geisha’s Blade!!!

The Akuma No Chi is my first Katana and I’ve waited almost a year for it to be available and finally patience paid off. it’s in my hands. now. Of all the Katana’s I’ve seen on Geisha blade’s list this is the one Katana that was love at first sight. My favorite color is RED. The quality and details are superb. I might get addicted to this 🙂

Among the 3 katanas I have purchased today, this will be the first functional one that I own as the others that I’ve ordered were non-sharpened versions. Browsing through the fully sharpened swords catalog, this blood-red katana caught my eye and boy, I am so happy that I purchased this! Hoping I could get my hands on a T10/elite/pro-series one next that comes with real hamon. Thanks again Geisha’s Blade.
