The ‘Chushingura Katana’ is our tribute to the Asano Clan, specifically to Asano Naganori, the lord of the 47 loyal ronin. The tsuba bears the crest of the Asano Clan which is the ‘Maruni Chigai Takanoha’ (cross hawk feathers).

the blade: it is really a gorgeous blade.
well banlanced and the grooves does the job making a clear sound of tachi-kaze(sword wind)
the saya has a bloody crystal finish that one can actually see the wood grain under it..
the sageo is hand braided silk, thick and beautiful…
the fittings are all well done… have a good fit and doesn’t rattle at all…
the sori or curvature is really sexy, making the blade easier to draw…
the sharpness is very good, it can cut a paper on mid air…
plus the nicely executed mirror polish… 🙂
