Product Description

2nd Generation April 16, 2018 onwards: subtle wire brushed hamon, better blade flexibility. See videos below.

In Japan, dragons go by the names of Tatsu (Old Japanese) and Ryu (Sino-Japanese). Dragons in the West traditionally symbolize strength, ferocity, and wealth. They are a destructive force, but are also considered guardians. The Japanese, and the East in general, see dragons differently. They are generous, benevolent forces that use their strength to do good for mankind. Wisdom is another trait attributed to dragons.

The video below shows the difference in flexibility between the 1st Generation and 2nd Generation. The 2nd Gen is more flexible like a 1060 blade.

More subtle wire brushed hamon which looks like a real hamon.

I am fascinated with this sword.
Maganda, katulad na katulad ng nasa photo.

  2. Miggy (verified owner)

I am having an awesome experience with this katana. It’s perfect for extreme martial arts practice. It’s definitely worth the money; a bang for your buck. I particularly love the tsuba and end cap designs because they seem to tell an epic story. My ninja dream is almost complete. I just need a pair of tabi shoes and i’ll be all set.

  3. Anthony Lago (verified owner)

Ok nman yung product. Masyado lng maluwag ang saya. At ndi rin maayos ang fit ng habaki s koiguchi.

  4. John Paul Baterina (verified owner)

The blood red saya gives off an enigmatic vibe, urging the beholder to draw the blade and wield it. The hamon pattern on the blade also adds to the allure of this work.

Aesthetics aside, the weight initially threw me off, as I was more familiar with the weight of their Aikuchi Katana, having used it for a few years now. This is not a demerit to the blade, though, as I understand that they have different fittings and specs.
Overall, a very nice sword for its price.

  5. Leandro Calupas (verified owner)

Very nice. What you see is what you get. Blades are sharp all the way from tip to bottom. Haven’t tested it yet but I’m excited to make a review after receiving it.
